The life department of Roche Life Science has recently joined hands with Hongmed-Infagen to establish the Roche-Hongmed Infagen Precision Medicine Joint Innovation Center at the Shenzhen International Biology and Life Science Industrial Park in Dapeng New District.

The innovation center will take advantage of the advanced medical testing technologies and Hongmed-Infagen’s success in the special project for treating gastrointestinal diseases revolving around Helicobacter Pylori (HP).

The innovation center aims to realize individualized diagnosis and serves as an innovative platform for the precise diagnosis of digestive tumors.

Those in attendance to the unveiling ceremony included Barry J. Marshall, leader of the Hongmed-Infagen team and Nobel Prize laureate in Physiology or Medicine in 2005, Dr. Richard J. Roberts, who was awarded the 1993 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for his outstanding contributions in the field of nucleic acid research, Duan Xiaowei, Director of Science and Technology Innovation and Economic Services Bureau of Dapeng New District, Liu Feng, Deputy Director of Shenzhen Dapeng New District Management Committee, Wen Zhenkun, Director of Science and Technology Department of Shenzhen University, Su Zhongmei, Director of the life department of Roche Life Science, and Hou Zhibo, Chairman of Hongmed-Infagen.
