The 2020 International Bio-industry Valley (Baguang) Investment Promotion Conference was held in the International Bio-industry Valley Baguang Core Startup Area on Sept. 28, which witnessed the Dapeng New District Management Committee ink two strategic cooperation framework agreements with China Fortune Land Development Co., Ltd. (CFLD) and Zhongnan Hitech respectively.

The conference was attended by Yang Jun, Party chief of Dapeng New District Party Work Committee, Liu Guangyang, deputy Party chief of Dapeng New District Party Work Committee and director of Dapeng New District Management Committee, Sun Xiaojie and Liu Feng, members of the Dapeng New District Party Work Committee and deputy directors of Dapeng New District Management Committee. Representatives from over 50 listed companies including Ping An Urban-Tech, financial institutions and well-known medical companies were also in attendance.

At the conference, Dapeng New District announced that it will join hands with CFLD to promote scientific research and technological achievements transformations in such emerging industries as bio-medicine, life health and the marine field. Dapeng will work together with Zhongnan Hitech to strengthen cooperation in bio-tech and high-end medicine and reach win-win and mutual benefit outcomes in bio-industrial development, overcoming technological difficulties, introducing high-end talents, and promotion and industrialization of scientific research achievements.

According to the Technological Innovation and Economic Service Bureau of Dapeng New District, the International Bio-industry Valley Baguang Core Startup Area has started seven projects including the Green Island Complex, Biological Home, Baguang Exhibition Hall, and the Cheerland-Waste Center for Life Science and Technology, among which the Biological Home is the first project initiated in the startup area.

Biological Home is a key one-stop biotechnology demonstration park in the Baguang area. The project includes industrial research and development housing, an exhibition center, a conference center, a library, a park management center and supporting commercial facilities, covering a total construction area of 137,000 square meters. At present, the underground construction for the Biological Home is expected to be completed by the end of 2021.
