From:Shenzhen DailyUpdated:2018-08-03

The ferry service connecting Yantian District and Nan'ao of Dapeng New District officially resumed August 1. Apart from taking a bus or driving, tourists can now get to the eastern Shenzhen beaches by ferry.
The ferries commuting between Yantian Port and Nan'ao Shuangyong Wharf are operated by the Shenzhen Oceanus Group, and there will be eight ferries departing from both ends every day. Service hours are from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
The fare for a single-trip is 50 yuan (US$7.35) per person for economy class and 70 yuan per person for business class. A single trip takes 70 to 90 minutes.
According to Feng Haidong, an official from the city's shipping and cargo management bureau, there used to be ferries running between Nao'an and Yantian Port but the operation was stopped due to lack of passengers and shuttle buses.
The resumption of the service aims to help relieve the traffic burden in eastern Shenzhen during holidays by providing an extra option for holidaymakers. Residents can book tickets for weekends and the National Day holiday, said Feng.
Additionally, the ferry service will be considered a tourism service in the near future as more routes will be considered to link tourist attractions, such as Dameisha, Xiaomeisha, Xichong and Dongchong.
Feng said that more ferry routes will be added within the city and also connecting with neighboring cities, like Huizhou and Shantou.
The official explained that more shuttle buses have been arranged to help ferry passengers get to other places. Special tourist coaches will also be available during holidays.
