City launches two sci-tech tourism routes

Shenzhen launched two tourism routes featuring the city’s technology development recently, linking up the city’s science education bases, national-level tourist attraction and museum, sources from the Shenzhen Municipal Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports Bureau said.

One of the routes will stop at three science popularization education bases, namely Shenzhen Yeefung Technology Co. Ltd., Daya Bay Nuclear Power Base and Shenzhen Astronomical Observatory. The 76-kilometer route mainly runs across the city’s eastern expressways.

For instance, Shenzhen Astronomical Observatory provides tourists science popularization education, enabling them to discover the mysteries of the universe. Standing on top of the hill to the east of Xichong beach, the observatory is also a favorable place for tourists to enjoy a panoramic view of Dapeng Peninsula.
