A delegation of the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce visited Dapeng New District from March. 16 to 17, aiming to strengthen Shenzhen-Hong Kong economic and trade exchanges, complement each other’s advantages, and facilitate the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

The delegation inspected some main areas in Dapeng including Baguang, Huanlongqi Bay, and Dongshan Yangmeikeng, and was informed about the latest status of the development of Dapeng’s marine and tourist industries. The two sides also exchanged views and had discussions on promoting practical cooperation between Dapeng and Hong Kong.

Baguang Area is an important layout point of Shenzhen’s “20+8” industries such as biomedicine, life health, marine science and technology, modern agriculture and food. Biological Home, the first industrial carrier in the area, is now fully in operation.

Dapeng has been focusing on promoting high-quality development of the tourism and marine industries in recent years, and combines the “two main lines” of physical manufacturing and coastal tourism. The district puts emphasis on the Baguang and Huanlongqi areas to conduct economic and trade exchanges, continuing to expand win-win cooperation.

This coastal district has advanced the integrated development of outdoor sports, leisure tourism and the marine industry in the past few years, becoming a well-known “outdoor paradise.”
