From:sznews.comUpdated:2023-08-18

Fishing boats set sail from Shuangyong Harbor at Moon Bay in Nan’ao Subdistrict in Dapeng New District on Wednesday, as the seasonal fishing ban in the South China Sea ended the same day.

Fishing boats of different sizes docked at the harbor, preparing to set sail at noon. They loaded bags of fishing tools on board. Some large fishing boats will be out for more than 10 days, so it is necessary to have sufficient food on board for the sailors.

Fishing boats set sail for the first time after the three-and-a-half-month fishing ban.

The fishermen were filled with joy and hope. “We can finally set sail for fish,” exclaimed a 50-year-old fisherman surnamed Yang, unable to contain his excitement. His boat was given a fresh coat of paint during the fishing ban period.

It is reported that after the three-and-a-half-month fishing ban period, the seas have seen the growth of abundant fishing resources. The fishermen are expecting a bountiful harvest from their first fishing net. Within a day, the fresh fish will be available for sale in the market, allowing citizens to once again enjoy the taste of exquisite and fresh seafood.
