Cold air will be frequent during the Spring Festival transport season, from Saturday to Feb. 15, sources from Shenzhen Meteorological Observatory said Monday.

Rains and fog will be frequent before the Spring Festival, which will fall on Jan. 22 this year. The observatory reminded citizens of possible frost on roads and fog in mountainous areas in north Guangdong Province, which might affect the traffic with slick roads and low visibility.

Low temperatures will prevail in Guangdong during the middle and late periods of the Spring Festival transport season.
