The beach is preserved in its original form and surrounded by mountains, flowers, and century-old trees. It provides natural shade and shelter for people on holiday.

The Coral Conservation Station, DapengCoral Conservation Volunteer Federation (Dive Love) islocated on the beach and directly opposite to the Hong Kong Tung Ping Chau Marine Park. This station built with containers is a three-in-one marine ecology science center that combinesfunctions of underwater coral planting, intertidal ecological experience on the beach, and ecology lessons on campus. It is also a national marine ecology education demonstration base certified by the State Oceanic Administration.
