Longyan Ancient Temple, located on the hillside of Guanyin Mountain, has been a place of worship for over a hundred years because of a legend saying that Guanyin (a Bodhisattva) once appeared there. On the first and fifteenth days of each lunar month and during traditional festivals of the year, people from surrounding areas come to pay their respects and pray for the blessing of Guanyin. In 2021, the first Certificate for Registration and Numbering of Folk Belief Event Venue in Guangdong Province was issued to the temple.
