An investment promotion conference was held at the Shenzhen International Bio-Valley in Dapeng New District on July 26, aimed at attracting global investments for six key areas, Shenzhen Special Zone Daily reported.

Featuring Shenzhen and Hong Kong cooperation, the meeting attracted over 120 prominent domestic and international enterprises and institutions.

Dapeng is driving progress in these six areas by aligning with their local circumstances while addressing the developmental requirements of enterprises to create a world-class coastal ecological tourism resort and a global marine center.

Within these areas, Longqi Bay-Shuitou, Xinda-Dongshan, and Xichong focus on attracting investments in the tourism sector, whereas Baguang, Shayuchong, and Buxin are seeking investments in strategic emerging industries.

Siegfried Boerst, general manager of LEGOLAND Shenzhen Resort, emphasized Dapeng's abundant natural resources and potential for becoming an ecological tourism hot spot. He highlighted the region's commitment to developing infrastructure and establishing the LEGOLAND Shenzhen Resort.

The Longqi Bay-Shuitou Area offers 74.2 hectares of land for investment, focusing on the tourism industry to create a world-class coastal thematic entertainment cluster with a highlight on urban entertainment such as theme parks and commercial complexes. 

The Baguang area, designed as an international biological valley spanning 133.6 hectares, is seeking global investments, particularly in industries like precision medicine and the low-altitude economy. 

Emphasizing tourism and vacation, the Xinda-Dongshan area aims to establish a benchmark leisure hub, focusing on comprehensive services and convenient transportation facilities.

The Xichong area invites investments to enhance commercial operations and sports amenities, aiming to develop a seashore tourism resort complex community and position itself as a premier destination for seaside leisure and holiday experiences in Shenzhen.

Shayuchong, known as a modern economic zone for fishing and tourism, welcomes global investments in modern marine fishing.

The Buxin area is a hub for the health industry, inviting investments in sectors like marine biomedicine.

With 2024 being designated as the year of high-quality tourism development in Dapeng, the area has implemented various measures to facilitate business entry and investment.
