To seize the development opportunities provided by the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, Dapeng New District has taken several measures to upgrade and transform its industries in a bid to improve its business environment.

Firstly, the government will support quality enterprises and incentivize innovation, aiming to achieve sustainable development. Up to 60 million yuan will be rewarded to key enterprises that move their headquarters to Dapeng. Rent discounts of 30 to 70 percent will also be offered to enterprises that keep innovating.

Secondly, the new district will develop a more attractive work environment for talents. Over 2,000 middle-level, high-level and urgently-needed talents are going to be introduced into the new district by 2020. More than 8 first-class scientific teams and over 600 talents in education, medication and tourism will also be cultivated.

Thirdly, the establishment of an environmentally-friendly Dapeng is in progress. The new area will improve water quality and protect natural resources. In addition, a comprehensive traffic system covering land, sea, air and railway will be built.
