An international Yacht club in the making
From:Shenzhen DailyUpdated:2023-10-24

Dapeng Peninsula, nestled at the foot of Qiniang Mountain and facing Daya Bay, is an excellent destination for sailing enthusiasts. Longcheer Yacht Club stands between the mountain and the sea.

Established in May 1998, Longcheer Yacht Club has grown to include more than 300 members and boasts 240 offshore yacht berths. In 2003, the club was recognized as a "national water sports training base" by the General Administration of Sport of China.

Real estate developer Vanke acquired full ownership of the yacht club in 2006, making the club a significant component of Vanke’s presence in Shenzhen’s eastern coastal area.

The China Cup International Regatta has played a crucial role in driving the advancement of water sports in China since its inception in 2007, and Longcheer serves as its main base.

Dapeng has earned a reputation for its proficiency in cultivating numerous talented individuals in the field of yachting and sailboat racing. It actively promotes water sports, spreads marine culture, and encourages a leisurely lifestyle that involves exploring nature and keeping healthy.

Dapeng, with a strong industry foundation and market potential for developing a sailing and windsurfing industry, has gathered many yacht clubs, sailing and windsurfing clubs. The district is striving to build a world-class coastal ecotourism resort and has introduced tourism, culture and sports industrial projects.

Shenzhen, a vibrant coastal city, has gained recognition for its association with water sports.
