1. Establishment and composition: 

The Dapeng Sub-bureau of Shenzhen Municipal Planning and Natural Resources Bureau was officially founded on April 17, 2019. It consists of the General Office (Legal Section), Investigation and Monitoring Section (Grassroots Service Section), Development and Utilization Section, Planning Section, Public Project Section (Municipal Transportation Section), Architecture Design Section, Ecological Environment Section and Forestry Section (Marine Fishery Section).

2. Main duties:

(1) Implement State, provincial and municipal policies, laws and regulations on planning and natural resources; fulfill the duties of the owners of natural resources assets owned by all people, such as land, minerals, forests, wetlands, waters and oceans, and control the use of all land and space.

(2) Investigate, monitor and evaluate natural resources within its jurisdiction; mediate major disputes over the ownership of natural resources within its jurisdiction; and rationally develop and utilize natural resources assets, and regulate the assets market within its jurisdiction.

(3) Be responsible for the paid use of natural resources assets and manage value assessment within its jurisdiction.

(4) Be responsible for compiling and supervising the implementation of spatial planning, detailed planning and relevant special planning of the land within its jurisdiction.

(5) Draft and implement annual plans for the use of natural resources such as land within its jurisdiction; undertake the application for approval of land supply and conversion of land utilization within its jurisdiction.

(6) Be responsible for land ecological restoration within its jurisdiction.

(7) Prevent and control geological disasters within its jurisdiction.

(8) Manage mineral resources within its jurisdiction.

(9) Administer the development of the marine economy, the overall protection and use of coastal zones, the use of waters and the protection and use of islands.

(10) Compile and organize efforts to implement plans for forestry development and forest land protection and use, and administer the forestry industry within its jurisdiction.

(11) Administer the fishery industry and the construction of fishing ports.

(12) Administer place names and the planning of historic preservation areas, outstanding historic buildings and historical relics.

(13) Investigate and rectify illegal practices concerning mapping, geological minerals and place names.

(14) Monitor and administer production safety in planning and natural resources within its jurisdiction.

(15) Undertake other work assigned by the municipal bureau and support related work of the New District government.
