Public Works Bureau of Dapeng New District

Main duties:

1. Implement policies, laws and regulations at the State, provincial, municipal and New District levels on government-funded projects; and administer the construction of government-funded projects such as house construction, public facilities, water affairs, parks, greenways and environmental sanitation facilities.

2. Organize and support other departments in going through procedures related to government-funded projects, including project registration, project transfer, preliminary design, planning and site selection, land use, planning permits and construction permits.

3. Organize the bidding for government-funded projects; and sign and implement relevant contracts and agreements.

4. Manage the construction of government-funded projects to ensure that the targets set for government-funded projects, in terms of quality, construction schedule, investment, environmental protection, energy efficiency and safety, are satisfied.

5. Organize the application and promotion of new technologies, new materials, new equipment and new techniques to improve construction technologies.

6. Organize the examination, acceptance, settlement, final settlement, documents archiving and project transferring of government-funded projects.

7. Undertake other tasks as may be assigned by the Party Work Committee, the Management Committee and other higher authorities.
