Main duties:

1. Implement national, provincial and municipal laws, regulations, rules and policies on culture, sports, arts, radio and television, cultural relics and tourism; formulate relevant development plans and annual work plans, study and formulate concrete methods of implementation; and guide, supervise and inspect the implementation.

2. Manage social, cultural and arts activities in the New District; and guide and launch cultural events for the mass, cultural events for children, arts exchanges and literary and artistic creation. Manage mass sports, competitive sports and sports exchanges; and organize and guide national fitness programs. Manage sectors such as culture, sports, arts, radio and television, cultural relics and tourism. Coordinate and promote the development of cultural industries.

3. Review, approve and manage culture, sports, radio and television, cultural relics and tourism projects in the New District according to the law.

4. Be responsible for managing cultural relic protection sites in the New District; and be responsible for the administrative management of and guidance on the protection and inheritance of intangible cultural heritages in the New District.

5. Supervise and manage the quality of tourism services provided by the New District; and organize and guide the publicity and promotion of local tourism.

6. Take the lead in advancing the development of local tourist attractions and B&Bs.

7. Conduct foreign exchanges and cooperation in the fields of culture, sports, arts, radio and television, cultural relics and tourism.

8. Be responsible for administrative law enforcement in the culture, sports, radio and television, cultural relics, publishing, film and tourism markets in the New District according to the law.

9. Implement guidelines, policies and arrangements on talents issued by higher authorities; and be responsible for building a team of talents in the fields of culture, radio, television, tourism and sports.

10. Be responsible for production safety of the industries and sectors concerning culture, radio, television, tourism and sports.

11. Complete other tasks as may be assigned by the Party Work Committee, the Management Committee and other higher authorities.

12. Duties related to the Development and Finance Bureau of Dapeng New District. Specifically, the Development and Finance Bureau coordinates comprehensive industrial policies and industrial plans, while the Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports Bureau drafts special industrial plans and industrial policies and organize their implementation.
