On the afternoon of August 11, the summary meeting of the Pengban Psychiatric Rehabilitation Aid Program was held at the Activity Center of Pengban Home in Dapeng New District and was attended by more than 30 people including some who have recovered from mental illness, their families and volunteers.

The event was sponsored by the Bureau of United Front Work and Social Construction of Dapeng New District, supported by the Shenzhen Project Care Foundation, and organized by the Shuxin Psychological Care and Counseling Center.

Luo Yating, director of the VC Fund Department of the Shenzhen Project Care Foundation, highly praised the Pengban program and raised new expectations. The program’s leader Jiang Caiwen gave a detailed report on the program including an overview, the program’s development, services provided and its effectiveness.

During the performance round, people who have recovered from mental illness and their families showed off their talents and opened the performance with the uplifting song “Red Sun.” To end the performance, others sang the hit song “Let Me Thank You.”

During the event, the outstanding rehabilitees, their family members and volunteers of the program were commended to encourage their progress and growth, and to thank them for their dedication and support for the program over the past year. They also spoke highly of the program and hoped it would continue to receive funding and support.

The meeting not only showed the achievements of this year, but also provided a platform for the people who recovered from mental illness to showcase themselves and boost their self-confidence.
