The smart recycling bins “Pengbaibai” have recently been put into use in Xiasha New Village and the Poly Xiangbinyuan residential compounds in Dapeng Subdistrict starting from Jan. 4.

The recycling bins can be used 24 hours a day and can automatically weigh the garbage and then compensate users by sending them money in real time to their accounts to encourage residents to practice garbage classification. In addition to self-service recycling, Dapeng Subdistrict also plans to rely on the “Internet+ recycling” recycling platform to collect paper, old clothes, plastic bottles and other renewable resources from shops and households. Residents can make appointments through the WeChat mini-program to book door-to-door services.

In the future, Dapeng Subdistrict will advocate the use of smart recycling bins in all residential areas and urban villages, so that more merchants and residents can participate in waste classification, so as to reduce domestic waste, turn waste into wealth and enhance green treatment of waste.
