After transformations and upgrades, Dapeng Library has reopened to the public as of Jan. 10.

As a first-class library in Shenzhen, the library is equipped with five functional sections: a children’s reading room, adult reading area, newspapers and periodicals area, electronic reading room and a classical collection room, providing “Free Interlibrary Loan” and “One-Card-Pass” services. “One-Card-Pass” holders are able to return books borrowed from public libraries in other districts of Shenzhen to Dapeng Library, and vice versa.

The library boasts a varied collection of more than 40,000 volumes of children’s picture books, literature, economics and art, as well as more than 130 kinds of newspapers and periodicals. Reading seats are divided into three sections: 72 seats for adults, 36 for children and 16 for electronic reading.
