On Jan. 30, the opening ceremony of the 2022 Meisha Education National Youth Sailing League Grand Final was held at the Longcheer Yacht Club in Nan’ao, Dapeng New District. The five-day competition will gather 132 young sailors from all over the country to compete in the race.

Entering its eighth edition, the competition has witnessed the growth of thousands of young sailors like Chen Nan and Lin Zijie.

The event is organized by the Chinese Yachting Association, hosted by the Shenzhen Sailing and Windsurfing Association, and operated by Shenzhen Vanhang Sailing Sports and Cultural Development Co. Ltd. The event is one of the series of activities of Shenzhen Sailing Week 2022 and is divided into the following categories: Men’s and Women’s Laser 4.7, Men’s and Women’s Topper 5.3, Men’s and Women’s Topper 4.2, Men’s and Women’s OP, Men’s OP U15, Men’s and Women’s OP U12, Men’s and Women’s OP U10, and the OP Team, Laser 4.7 Team and Topper Team events.
