Dapeng New District has unveiled four new super electric vehicle (EV) charging stations, each equipped with two liquid-cooled Super EV charging piles and multiple direct current charging piles, sznews.com reported recently.

The stations are operational at key locations: the Management Committee of Dapeng New District, Guanyin Mountain Park, the Xinda market and the Yangmeikeng P3 parking lot.

These stations offer rapid charging, enabling EVs to have enough power to run one kilometer within a second of charging, significantly enhancing charging efficiency in the new district.

Dapeng has actively invested in EV charging infrastructure and vehicle-to-grid (V2G) programs. In 2023, the district added 3,132 new EV poles, bringing the total number of charging poles to 5,705, a 121.7% increase compared to the end of 2022. Additionally, Dapeng introduced four V2G technology programs, allowing surplus energy to be redirected back to the power grid from electric car batteries.

Looking ahead, the district remains committed to expanding its super charging facilities, with plans to introduce six additional super charging stations in the first quarter of 2024.
