Dapeng New District is now actively advancing the construction of the Nan’ao-Dongchong and Xichong truck road, sources from Dapeng’s development and finance bureau said recently.

Comprehensive preparations, including design and survey work, are well underway. Currently, a two-lane highway serves as the primary link between Dapeng and the Dongchong and Xichong areas in Nan’ao. However, with the rapid expansion of tourism, the current traffic infrastructure struggles to meet the demands of existing visitor traffic, let alone future requirements.

The Nan’ao-Dongchong and Xichong trunk road will span 7.2 kilometers in a north-south direction, featuring four to six lanes for two-way traffic, with a designated maximum speed of 60 kilometers per hour. This initiative aims to cater to the region’s growing transportation needs.
