A large-scale joint ship-to-shore oil spill emergency response drill is conducted in Dapeng New District on the eve of World Environment Day, which was June 5. The exercise, the first of its kind since the establishment of the Dapeng New District Maritime Search and Rescue Center, involved more than 200 personnel and featured 22 vessels and 45 vehicles.
Over 20 organizations, including maritime, emergency management, transportation, and public security authorities, as well as various enterprises, participated in the drill. The exercise simulated a comprehensive emergency response to an oil spill, incorporating six key scenarios such as hazard report handling, emergency resource mobilization, and search and rescue operations for personnel who have gone overboard.
