A special community event, featuring performances by over 10 foreign artists from several countries such as Brazil, Germany and Russia, was recently held at Yangmeikeng in Dongshan Community, Dapeng New District.

The event, called “International Art Talent Enters Community,” was co-organized by the Nan’ao Dongshan Community Party-Mass Service Center, together with Dongshan Community New Era Civilization Practice Station. It provided an audiovisual feast for more than 500 audience members, and allowed people to immerse themselves in foreign cultures. A total of 19 programs were performed during the event, such as the “Italian Tamburello Dance,” a spirited Italian folk dance, and the classical music “Hotel California.”

In addition to their spectacular performances, international art talents engaged in meaningful conversations with the local people, imparting etiquette and language skills for greeting foreign friends and inviting them to join in their rendition. Through such interactive experiences, international bonds were fortified, which brought arts into community life and connected different cultures.

Yangmeikeng is a popular seaside tourism destination on Shenzhen’s Dapeng Peninsula, according to local authorities. Dongshan Community is actively pushing forward the construction of Yangmeikeng into a national 3A-rated tourist attraction. In the future, more cultural activities will be held to enhance the travel experience of  tourists and residents alike, makingYangmeikeng a destination renowned for its scenic spots and cultural heritage.
