The first concrete slab has been successfully placed at the Xichong Depot’s critical section, located in the Xichong Community in Kuichong Subdistrict, Dapeng New District, marking a milestone in the Shenzhen Metro Line 8 Phase III project.

The slab, positioned on the capping beam in critical section 4, presented engineering challenges due to its complex design, including numerous inclined beams and intersecting nodes such as cylinders and rectangular beams.

To complete the concrete pouring, the project team deliberately planned and executed the task, providing the team members with real-time supervision and guidance.

The Phase III of Shenzhen Metro Line 8 connects Xiaomeisha Station in Yantian District with Xichong Station in Dapeng New District, spanning a total length of 3.7 kilometers.

The Phase III project is expected to be completed in 2026. With Line 8 seamlessly connecting with Line 2 at Liantang Station, the Phase III project of Line 8 will enable residents in Luohu, Futian, and Nanshan to travel to Dapeng without worrying about traffic jams. Serving eastern and western Shenzhen, Line 8 will traverse multiple districts including Nanshan, Futian, Luohu, Yantian, and Dapeng, enhancing travel convenience for residents.
