The opening ceremony for the Dongshan Lu Zui Tourist Area, now officially recognized as a national 3A-rated tourist scenic spot, was held in Nanao Luzui, Dapeng New District, on Aug. 14, according to the iDapeng WeChat account.

At the beginning of this year, Nan’ao prioritized the Dongshan Luzui area for designation as a national 3A-rated tourist attraction, aiming to create a demonstration site. In just seven months, the area successfully completed 99 tasks in a high quality.

Located in Nan’ao Subdistrict, Dapeng New District, Dongshan Luzui features walking trails, wetlands, and mountain parks. It is known as "the place that welcomes the first ray of sunshine in Shenzhen." The total area of the scenic area is about 74,000 square meters, attracting around 1 million visits annually. Well-knownscenic spotsinclude Luzui Walk, also dubbed "the most beautiful coastal road in China," Mermaid Cave, and a sunrise viewing platform.

Since the beginning of this year, the scenic spot has recorded about 1.6 million visits, representing a year-on-year increase of 19.98%, with peak daily traffic exceeding 30,000 visits.
