In recent years, Shenzhen has achieved remarkable progress in fostering its nighttime economy. Here are some of the popular night markets across the city.

Gaoyuan Night Market

As soon as you step into the Gaoyuan Night Market, you will be greeted by a wide variety of delicious foods. During the day, visitors can enjoy the beauty of the seaside in Dapeng, and at night, they can indulge in the night market’s offerings, available from 5 p.m. daily until the early hours of the next morning.

Location: Gaoyuan Night Market, Dapeng New District

Yantian Street Night Market

The Yantian Street Night Market in Xixiang, located in the center of Bao’an District, is one of the city’s popular night markets, drawing an influx of residents and tourists every day.

Established 18 years ago, the market features nearly 100 stalls along a 400-meter-long street, offering almost every signature local specialty from across the country. Highlights include Sichuan-style Bo Bo Chicken, Chengdu grilled sweet potato skins, Hainan-style Qingbuliang (a cool and refreshing sweet soup served year-round in Hainan), Wuhan hot dry noodles (known as reganmian in Chinese), and Zhoukou-style wrapped cold noodles. The market opens at 4 p.m. every day and runs until midnight.

Luoruihe Food Street

If there were a ranking for Shenzhen’s night markets, Luoruihe Food Street would undoubtedly make the list. This street, which has been around for over 20 years, stretches about 500 meters and is home to nearly 100 shops and stalls. Every day around 5 or 6 p.m., stall owners gradually set up their stands, filling the air with the aroma of delicacies like oyster omelets and beef offal. The street becomes bustling with crowds, and even if you enter with an empty stomach, you are guaranteed to leave stuffed to the brim.

Location: Luoruihe South Street, Longgang District

Metro: Line 3 to Nanlian Station, Exit B2

Niuxiangfang

The nearly 300-meter-long Niuxiangfang Street hosts over 30 restaurants, most specializing in Chaoshan cuisine. Visitors should not miss the sweet potato rice porridge and the goose intestine hotpot, along with various goose offal and seafood dishes. Many stores are open from around 5 p.m. until early morning.

Changlong Night Market

Exiting from Exit C2 of Changlong Metro Station, visitors will discover small shops worth exploring along Changji Road, Changlong Road, and Changsheng Road. After 6 p.m. each day, many snack vendors set up their stalls with pushcarts, bringing the entire street to life with bustling activity. Some shops have been in operation for nearly 30 years.

Wangtang Night Market

Regarded as the second “canteen” for students of Shenzhen Polytechnic University, Wangtang Night Market is easily accessible from Xili Metro Station. After walking through Xili 366 Street and onto Wangtang, you will find plenty of delicious options that will ensure your stomach doesn’t leave empty.

Location: Wangtang Industrial Zone in Xinwei (near Wangtang Building), Nanshan District

Yangang Night Market

The Yangang Night Market comes to life as night falls, transforming a once-ordinary intersection at Kangyi Road and Yishan Road into a dazzling spectacle of light and energy. This bustling hub has become a magnet for young people, offering an array of snacks that tantalize visitors’ taste buds. Open from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. the next day, the night market provides a comprehensive entertainment experience that blends culinary delights, cultural performances, and leisure activities.

Location: Qingyun Road, Yantian District

Metro: Line 8 to Yantian Port West Station; then take a taxi

Dalang Commercial Street

The Dalang Commercial Street Night Market is one of the most representative night markets in Longhua District, often referred to as “Longhua’s Dongmen Street.” Since its opening in 2009, it has undergone several transformations, evolving from an industrial zone into a commercial area. The main food section has become a nighttime gathering spot for Longhua residents, offering classic delicacies from across the country.

Location: Dalang Commercial Center, Longhua District
