Under the agreement, the four parties will collaborate on the research, development, production, and market expansion of flying cars, with in-depth cooperation in technological breakthroughs, scenario implementation, and ecosystem development.

China FAW will register a new company in Dapeng to oversee research, manufacturing, testing, and operations. The company plans to establish its global flying car headquarters in the district, along with an R&D center, manufacturing base, and operations service center.

In April, China FAW unveiled its first flying car, the Tiannian 1, under the Hongqi brand, marking its entry into the future of mobility.

The flying car has a flight range of over 200 kilometers and a maximum speed of 150 km per hour, and is set to make its maiden flight later this year. Equipped with an intelligent cockpit system, it provides drivers with real-time information through voice and visual displays, significantly reducing operational complexity. According to China FAW, the vehicle’s development adheres to the highest industry safety standards to ensure passenger safety.
