The event features two independent categories designed to accommodate participants of different ages and competitive backgrounds. The China Longboard Open is open to non-professional surfers, providing a platform for enthusiasts to showcase their skills and share experiences. The China U-Series Surfing Championships (Shenzhen) focuses on discovering and nurturing young talent, with divisions including U18, U16, U12, and U9. Each age group offers both shortboard and longboard events for boys and girls, supporting the systematic development of youth surfing.
As one of the largest beaches in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, Xichong Beach No. 4 is an ideal venue for surfing competitions, thanks to its gentle sandy slopes, clear waters, and consistent waves year-round. More than just a competitive arena, it serves as a showcase for surfing culture and coastal lifestyle.
