Shenzhen Metro Line 8 Phase 3 has entered trial timetable operations and will open by year’s end, ending Dapeng New District’s status as a Metro “blind spot.”

　　The 3.69-kilometer extension running between Xiaomeisha and Xichong Station will integrate fully with Lines 2 & 8. This creates a continuous east-west rail corridor across five districts, significantly improving connectivity between Dapeng and downtown Futian.

　　Designed as a “city in the sky,” the new Xichong Depot preserves local heritage by integrating ancient trees into its landscape. The adjacent Xichong Station features an “Ecological Green Valley” concept that blends architecture with the coastal environment.

　　The line will provide direct metro access to Dapeng’s coastal attractions. Visitors can travel from Liantang Checkpoint to Xichong Station, gaining easy access to Xichong Resort’s 600-meter beach and the scenic Shenkui Road coastal drive.
