A new agritourism destination has opened near Dapeng Fortress, offering urban residents a short-distance rural retreat focused on farming experiences, family activities, and leisure.

The Spark Exploration Camp (大鹏文旅·星火探索营), situated close to the Dapeng Fortress, a historic coastal site, features an eight-hour immersive program designed to allow visitors to step away from city life and take part in hands-on agricultural activities. Programs include fruit and vegetable picking, basic farming and planting, and outdoor leisure experiences.

The camp also offers barbecue and camping facilities, as well as interactive activities for children, such as animal feeding, outdoor games, and water-based exploration. Craft workshops and afternoon tea featuring farm-produced snacks are also provided as part of the leisure offerings.

Organizers said the project aims to combine agricultural education, family-friendly recreation, and rural tourism, expanding leisure options for Shenzhen residents and visitors. The site is accessible as a convenient day-trip destination from the city.
