A group of 23 international students from Shenzhen University visited the Baguang Heritiera Wetland Park in Dapeng recently, taking part in ecological observation and cultural tours.

The students walked along boardwalks through mangrove areas, where an environmental instructor provided English-language guidance on mangrove species, the characteristics of Heritiera and intertidal ecosystems. The site is known for its well-preserved coastal habitats, where reefs and mangroves coexist.

The group also visited the historic Yanzao Ancient Village, learning about traditional architecture and the relationship between local communities and their natural surroundings.

During an interaction session, participants shared perspectives on environmental protection and sustainability, turning the visit into a cross-cultural dialogue on ecological issues.
