Dapeng New District drew strong attention at the China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair with the unveiling of an immersive exhibition themed “Ancient Heritage Meets Modern Tourism.”
The district’s booth, located in Hall 13, drew large crowds with a centerpiece exhibition highlighting Dapeng Fortress, a more than 630-year-old coastal military stronghold dating back to the Ming and Qing dynasties.

A historical documentary recreating the Battle of Kowloon offered visitors an immersive look into the region’s maritime defense history, while digital installations including interactive e-books and smart electronic maps blended culture with technology. Visitors could browse historical archives through gesture-controlled displays and explore the fortress’s streets and landmarks via touchscreen maps.
The exhibition also featured a range of cultural and creative products inspired by Dapeng Fortress, including themed souvenirs, specialty gifts and locally designed ice cream products, attracting steady lines of visitors.
Tourism promotion zones showcasing luxury hotels and boutique homestays in Dapeng also proved popular, with participating brands offering travel information, local delicacies and complimentary tasting experiences to fairgoers.
