Dapeng recently conducted its fifth English volunteer training session aimed at enhancing the international service skills of tourism workers and volunteers. More than 60 participants from hotels, homestays, and scenic spots attended.

Instructor Xia Tian used personal anecdotes to illustrate practical English learning methods, breaking down language barriers with clear explanations on speech speed, idioms, and cultural nuances. The hands-on training focused on common tourism scenarios such as directions, hotel check-ins, and dining, while also demonstrating proper use of translation apps to aid communication.

Participants praised the session for its practicality. “From greeting guests and handling check-ins to using translation apps for complex inquiries, this training gave us exactly what we need for daily work,” said one attendee.

The program is part of Dapeng’s ongoing initiative to strengthen international volunteer service capabilities. Future sessions will continue to provide practical, professional, and diverse training, helping the district’s workforce deliver high-quality services to global visitors.
