A new pet-friendly coastal resort has opened in Shuitousha, Nan'ao, adding a new attraction to the area’s growing tourism scene.

MOMOO Resort Phase II, known as Happy Planet, is the first pet-friendly coastal resort in the area. Built around a “3.0” concept of integrated travel for people and pets, the resort combines dining, accommodation, recreation, pet care and leisure in a one-stop beachfront destination.

The resort features a sunset-view restaurant serving pet-friendly meals and a seaside venue for pet-themed events, allowing visitors and their animals to dine together. Pet photography, themed photo opportunities and customized ceremonies are also available.

Facilities include pet grooming and care services, boarding facilities and outdoor activity areas, meeting pets’ needs for care, accommodation and exercise while helping owners travel with greater convenience.

The resort also offers pet-friendly accommodations in styles including Memphis-inspired and Moroccan-themed designs. Other amenities include a Mexican-style seaside barbecue and music restaurant, a coastal creative market, pet interaction areas and arcade entertainment, providing options for both daytime and evening visitors across different weather conditions.

Shuitousha is one of Nan'ao’s key coastal tourism areas. In recent years, the local community has continued to upgrade its tourism infrastructure by adding parking spaces, beachfront showers, sand-washing facilities and storage lockers, while improving nighttime lighting to enhance the visitor experience.

The opening of Happy Planet adds to Shenzhen’s expanding pet-friendly tourism offerings and reflects efforts to diversify the coastal resort experience on the Dapeng Peninsula.
