Somi Farm, a new Moomin-themed rural leisure destination next to Dapeng Fortress, will open on Sept. 25, combining Nordic storybook elements with farmland, flower fields and family activities.

The farm has partnered with Moomin, a classic Finnish storybook franchise, to create themed spaces inspired by the fictional world. The project includes 26 Moomin-themed spots across the farm, including a 7-meter-tall inflatable Moomin near the north gate of Dapeng Fortress.

Visitors can also take part in a stamp-collecting activity and redeem themed souvenirs after collecting six stamps. Moomin-themed coffee, snacks and traditional handicrafts will also be available.

Beyond the themed attractions, one admission ticket includes access to more than 30 activities. A petting area allows children to interact with alpacas and deer, while facilities including climbing nets, slides, swings and nature trails provide outdoor fun for families.

The farm will also host activities such as rice-paddy fish catching, bubble games, and traditional handicraft workshops. Its landscape includes large rice fields and seasonal flower areas featuring sunflowers, zinnias and more.

Visitors can also relax at the farm’s camping facilities, which offer drinks, snacks, tents and barbecue areas, allowing families to combine outdoor activities with dining and leisure without leaving the site.
