The first Nan’ao Egong Bay Paddleboard Carnival was held recently at Egong Bay in Dapeng, attracting 60 water sports enthusiasts and marking the start of Nan’ao’s 2026 outdoor sports season.

The event featured paddleboard races, a beach market and a sunset party, combining water sports with coastal tourism and leisure activities.

Nan’ao plans to develop a diverse outdoor sports program based on its coastal and mountainous landscape, catering to both recreational participants and professional athletes.

A series of events will be held in the near future, including a hiking event, a national surfing club league and the Xichong Surfing Carnival, a sailing league and the China Cup International Regatta. The events will cover sailing, surfing, hiking and trekking, as Nan’ao seeks to expand its sports and tourism offerings across the Dapeng Peninsula.
