Nan’ao in Dapeng recently held a community greening campaign at Moon Bay Square, distributing free flower seeds and offering gardening advice to residents and local businesses.

Under the theme “Green Nan’ao, Flowers for Every Home,” the event aimed to encourage residents to take part in neighborhood beautification and environmental protection.

Staff members demonstrated basic planting and plant care techniques, including watering and maintenance. Local homestay operators also shared tips on arranging courtyard flowers and choosing plants for different seasons.

The campaign encouraged residents to start with their own balconies, courtyards and storefronts, helping expand green spaces across the community.

Organizers said the initiative sought to make practical gardening knowledge more accessible and encourage wider public participation in creating a greener living environment.
