A 7,000-square-meter field of pink muhly grass is in bloom at Xinda Hetang Wetland Park in Nan’ao, offering visitors a seasonal autumn attraction set against a backdrop of green hills.

The flowering season typically runs from mid-October to late November. The park recommends visiting before 10 a.m. or in the two hours leading up to sunset, when softer light highlights the pink plumes.
Covering about 150,000 square meters, the wetland park features flower fields, a bird-watching pavilion, a pebble beach, a riverside greenway and an old stone bridge. Nearly 20,000 square meters of mangroves also provide opportunities for nature education and wildlife observation.
During the flowering season, Nan’ao will host a series of activities. Events will include cycling routes through the flower fields, outdoor music performances and a market offering local food and traditional Chinese-style photo experiences. Nearby shops and a small sightseeing train will also be available to visitors.
