Parking lots at five Shenzhen checkpoints (Hong Kong entry/exit points) is now available for reservation through the WeChat mini program “i口岸.”

The checkpoints include Futian Checkpoint, Wenjindu Checkpoint, Liantang Checkpoint, Shenzhen Bay Checkpoint, and Luohu Checkpoint. Together, they offer over 2,800 parking spaces.

This development will further improve travelers’ border-crossing experiences, according to the Office of Port of Entry and Exit of Shenzhen Municipal People’s Government.

The following is a user guide for a convenient parking experience:

1. Start your reservation:

Follow the “Shenzhen Port Release (深圳口岸发布)” official account on WeChat. Navigate to the “Convenient Services (便民服务)” section in the service menu and select “Reserve Parking (预约停车 )” for an instant booking.

Users can scan the following code to search for the official account.

2. Keep your contact details updated:

Confirm that your mobile phone number is entered correctly. All notifications, including reservations, cancellations, no-shows, arrivals, and departures, will be sent via text message to the number you provide.

To update your contact information, visit the “iPort (i口岸)” mini-program and go to “My information (我的用户信息)” to make necessary changes.

3. Understand reservation limits:

You can make up to three parking reservations per day for each license plate. If you exceed this amount, no additional reservations for the day will be allowed.

4. No-show policy:

A maximum of three no-shows per month are allowed for each license plate number. Once you hit this limit, you won’t be able to make any more reservations for that month.

5. Troubleshooting entry issues:

If you have made a reservation but face issues entering, don’t worry. Simply approach any on-site staff member. The staff will verify your reservation details and manually operate the gate to allow your car to enter.
