The Nan’ao Fishing Festival, held in Nan’ao, is a traditional celebration marking the start of the fishing season after the annual summer fishing moratorium.

The festival combines maritime traditions, local seafood, folk culture and tourism activities. Fishermen gather to celebrate the return to sea, while visitors can experience local customs, enjoy freshly caught seafood and take part in waterfront activities.

More than a celebration, the festival reflects Nan’ao’s long-standing fishing culture and close connection with the sea. It has also become an important cultural and tourism event showcasing Dapeng’s coastal heritage and vibrant fishing communities.
