Dongchong Mangrove Wetland Park is a natural wetland park in eastern Shenzhen centered around mangrove mudflats. In autumn, when the tide is just right, stand on the boardwalk and watch the mangrove roots dip into the seawater, while egrets take flight and land across the shallows, with the sea breeze blowing gently from the shore.

🚌 Getting There:

Take the E11 bus from downtown to Dapeng Central, then transfer to the M231 bus or the Dapeng Holiday Shuttle to reach the park.

The Shenzhen Observatory is built along a cliff, offering sweeping views of the mountains and sea. During the day, stroll along the coastal boardwalk, with the vast South China Sea on one side and an endless stretch of sandy beach on the other. At sunset, the evening glow turns the sea golden orange. In autumn, visibility in Shenzhen is often at its best.

Tuesday to Sunday, 9:00–12:00, 14:30–17:30

(Morning admission ends at 12:00)

🎫 Admission/Reservation:

Free admission, reservation required

Reservations are released every Monday at 10:00 a.m. for the current week's slots through the “Shenzhen Astronomy” WeChat official account. A total of 300 visitors are admitted daily, with 150 slots available for each session.

🚌 Getting There:

Driving is recommended. Navigate to “Xichong Tourist Resort P7 Parking Lot” or temporary parking areas near “Xichong Community Health Service Center.”

The 5-kilometer golden coastline is the signature landscape of Xichong. Beaches No. 1 through No. 4 each have their own unique character, making them ideal for walking along the shore, playing in the waves and enjoying the sea breeze. Beach No. 1 also features a stargazing campground next to the main firefly-watching area, making it convenient to combine the two experiences in one trip.
