Sanzhoutian Road, Dapeng Peninsula
Said to be the hiking route with the most beautiful scenery, Sanzhoutian is located in the northern part of Shenzhen, bordering Pingshan to the north and Dameisha to the south. Climbing this 15-kilometer route on two wheels is not easy with an altitude of 300 meters and multiple switchback trails. But never mind! The view of Chaxi Valley from the mountain top makes for breathtaking scenery, fresh air and a sea of flowers that can be seen below. It makes the journey totally worth it.
To best appreciate the scenery, start from Pingshan where riders are greeted with small terraces along the way. Then, when going downhill, the magnificent sea view and verdant jungles will be right before your eyes. Entry to Chaxi Valley in OCT East will cost a fee of 160 yuan.

Jiaochangwei-Xichong, Longgang District
Jiaochangwei is a coastal village where a number of B&Bs provide comfortable accommodation.
Located in eastern Shenzhen, Dapeng Peninsula is surrounded by the sea on three sides and is to the northeast of Hong Kong. The peninsula is close to Daya Bay in the east, bordering on Huizhou, and embraces Dapeng Bay in the west. To best appreciate the splendor of the coastline, Jiaochangwei is a coastal village that you definitely don’t want to miss. There are plenty of B&B’s and seafood restaurants to provide your much-needed break from the city.
Starting in Jiaochangwei and ending in Xichong, the 20-kilometer tour passes through the mountainous areas along the coast and features a 200-meter climb.
After the downhill section, you will be right on Xichong Beach where there are BBQs and camping sites. You can also spend the night in the little cabins that dot the beach.
