UNESCO adds Spring Festival to intangible heritage list

The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) yesterday inscribed Spring Festival, social practices of the Chinese people in celebration of the traditional new year, on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. The decision was made during the 19th session of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage, taking place in Paraguay from Dec. 2 to 7.

Low-altitude economy a new development focus of Dapeng

Shenzhen is one of six cities selected to pilot electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft programs, according to a recent announcement at a forum in Kunshan, Jiangsu Province. In response, Dapeng New District is accelerating efforts to develop its low-altitude economy. In September, Dapeng released guidelines for the high-quality development of low-altitude aviation, set to be implemented from 2024 to 2026. Dapeng has been exploring low-altitude applications in various fields.
